The Physics of Flip Tricks

Before this video, you probably thought you’d never return to the study of motion past high school physics. YouTube channel Super Deluxe makes a good point, though: “Without the laws of physics, there’d be no Ollies, Nollies, Kickflips, or Backflips.”

Their latest clip takes you through the physics of your favorite skateboarding tricks. Tyler “Manchild” Pacheco walks you through front side flips, Vincent Alvarez displays his Fakie Big Flip and Brad Cromer shows off his Impossible, all while smooth narration and guiding animations describe how even the “Impossible” can be made possible through physics.
